Researching the interpretation problem of legal acts in the pre-revolutionary writtings of scholars

The article explores the state of theoretical development of issues of interpretation of legal acts in the writings of legal scholars until 1917, special attention paid to the works of M. A. Hredeskula and E. V. Vaskovskuy, also to the differences between their views. It is concluded that pre-revolutionary scientists laid the strong theoretical and methodological foundation for further development of problematic interpretation of Soviet and in post-Soviet periods.
